On March 29, 2011, as a participant and sponsor of the “Manager for a Day” initiative of Junior Achievement – Bulgaria, the America for Bulgaria Foundation hosted Elena Alexandrova, a student in 11th grade at the 137th School in Sofia to “manage” the foundation for a day. Elena fulfilled her dream to be part of something “real and significant”, albeit for a few hours only. Elena participated in meetings and discussions with Foundation officers and shared her insight on some of the issues that the Bulgarian educational system faces at present. She walked away excited and impressed by the programs of the Foundation and hopefully with a better idea about her future career.
The America for Bulgaria Foundation supports the Junior Achievement-Bulgaria under a three year grant that helps Bulgarian high school students develop business and entrepreneurial skills with the goal to reach the largest possible number of students. The “Manager for a Day” initiative is one of the components of Juniro Achievement’s large-scale endeavor.
