The project supports the Bulgarian Center for Not-for-Profit Law (BCNL) in providing a comprehensive program that helps civil society organizations achieve sustainability, organize better, and successfully advocate for change. It builds on activities BCNL has developed over the years in three areas: • NGO entrepreneurship. A training program that enables organizations to become financially sustainable by starting mission-driven businesses. The program includes training, competitions for best business plan, and continued mentorship support; • Monitoring of the NGO environment. This activity envisions continuous monitoring of legislative initiatives that help improve the legal environment for NGOs; • Activation of NGOs and their partners. A series of trainings for active regional organizations will be organized to help establish an alliance of regional NGOs; the summer school for young NGO leaders will take place annually; and a broader circle of nonprofits will be brought to collaborate more effectively in BCNL’s coworking space, the NGO House.
