Take Boris Begamov. What began as his personal cycling challenge along the Danube has become Dunav Ultra—an inspiring movement that weaves together over 120 towns and villages. With a little technology, a lot of heart, and his team’s mobile app, Boris is helping travelers find hidden corners of Bulgaria and meet the people who are bringing the region back to life—one homemade meal, one restored guesthouse, one warm welcome at a time.
That same spirit is alive in the Devetaki Plateau and Belene, where communities are coming together to revive old traditions, create new opportunities, and show the world why these places matter.
This belief in people—and their ideas—is also at the heart of our work with young Bulgarians. Programs like Muzeiko, Schools of the Future, and Telerik Academy School, along with platforms like Khan Academy and Buki.bg, are helping thousands of young people across the country gain the skills and confidence to apply their knowledge, solve real problems, and build better lives in their own country.
