Dear Friends,
When we talk about miracles, we usually picture something big and spectacular. But most real miracles look far more ordinary: behind them are people who rise early, take risks, learn new skills, dream up ideas, and put in the quiet, steady work of making life a little better for someone else. People whose livelihoods and values are intertwined – because a well-made product, a thoughtful service, or a gesture toward the community are simply different expressions of the same impulse: to create meaning.
Today is Giving Tuesday, a useful reminder that generosity isn’t only about major gifts. Most of the time, it lives in the quiet, everyday actions through which we support one another.
In this issue, we’re sharing stories of people who brighten the world around them in their own ways – through movement, comfort, craft, knowledge, care, and sheer dedication. And at the end, we invite you to explore Bulgaria’s Christmas Miracles, a digital advent-style calendar created by civil society groups across the country, collecting small acts of kindness that often go unseen but still make a difference.
Take a moment with these stories. If something in them nudges you, follow it. Sometimes the little things feel like miracles for a reason.

Miracles don’t only happen at Christmas
Sometimes a miracle is simply someone deciding to make another person’s day a little easier. Bulgaria’s Christmas Miracles gathers dozens of such moments – small steps that usually go unseen but still manage to change the world around us. The initiative comes from civil society organizations across the country who want to make everyday care visible. Step inside and see what that care looks like in action.
