VOX POPULI Documentary Theater Studio

This grant is to support a cultural platform called V|HOD, initiated by Documentary Theatre Studio Vox Populi, in partnership with the Red House Centre for Culture and Debate, Sofia. When The Red House was established fifteen years ago, its mission in the field of the arts was to give a chance to independent productions to meet their audience. In recent years, however, alternative spaces for independent theater and dance started to emerge around the city. This calls for a redefinition of the Red House mission in the arts and for a re-positioning of the center in the local artistic context, so that it continues to pioneer new artistic developments. The new platform will include the following activities organized in several programs with different focus: artistic program (theater, film and video art, photography etc.), grant program for small projects (a total of two projects supported within a calendar year), training program (seminars, lectures and presentations etc.), open working sessions for practitioners in the field of performing, visual and film art, etc.
