Northwest Cycle Tour 2022

This grant supports the second edition of the Northwest Cycling Tour, on May 28, 2022, part of the Tourism Development in Northwestern Bulgaria RFP. Last year’s event attracted 380 participants and over 600 visitors (participants and family members), who spent the weekend in the region and contributed to the local economy. From this year, the route will be available on the Strava athlete online platform, and cyclists can compete year-round. Other developments include translating the tour website into Serbian and Romanian, inviting more cyclists from abroad, and adding other, authentic products and services to the experience. The goal is to hold the event annually and upgrade it with every edition.
