Basic Education for Young School Dropouts in the Capital’s Roma Quarter
Romani Baht

BGN 48,126

Romani Baht will work in cooperation with the Regional Educational Inspectorate in Sofia to develop an accelerated curriculum for young people that dropped out of school before obtaining their 8th grade diploma. In cooperation with a local school in Fakulteta, they will host evening classes for 50-200 interested participants aged 11-27. The project includes daily evening classes, childcare for the children and siblings of participants, administration of state exams, and a driver’s license course for a select number of promising participants. The NGO will measure success according to the number of participants that complete each new grade level, the number that successfully obtain an 8th grade diploma, and the number that subsequently find work upon completing the program.

We are performing technical maintenance on our website and the project database will not be accessible until 4 pm today.
