FDR “Roma-1995” is working intensively with parents and is conducting a series of kindergarten-level summer schools. The project will also provide supplemental activities to help encourage a multicultural and inclusive atmosphere at the mainstream schools where their children are attending. Tutorials for older children (3rd-8th) that are falling behind in their studies will be conducted, and intensive work with 7th graders to help them prepare for high school will be provided. Success will be measured by the performance of summer school participants on their entry assessment for the 1st grade and their consequent attendance and performance in school, as well as improved grades for children attending tutorials, and the number of 7th graders that successfully enroll in exam-entrance high schools.
