The project is a demonstration of ABF’s continued support to the improvement of the quality of English language education at foreign language schools in Bulgaria. Thirty young American college graduates will spend a year working as English Teaching Assistants (ETAs) at language schools all over the country. The ETAs will teach English to high-school (8-12 grade) students. Their classes aim to improve the written and verbal communication skills of the students, to introduce students to American and British literature, and to involve them in discussions on a wide range of topics. The ETAs traditionally engage in various extra-curricular activities and projects to extend their work with the Bulgarian students beyond the classroom. Such activities and projects often include, among others, preparation for university entry exams, educational advising, creative projects, and volunteer work.
We are performing technical maintenance on our website and the project database will not be accessible until 4 pm today.
