The “School of Excellence” project at the 134th Hebrew and English School in Sofia has three distinct components: Modernization of the School IT Environment; Teacher Training; and Encouraging Student Entrepreneurship. The America for Bulgaria Foundation is supporting the Modernization component, which will involve reconstructing the existing unused space on the top (attic) floor of the building. The space will allow for the establishment of four new room facilities: 1) Media Library, 2) Presentation and Performance Hall, 3) Resource Center for Teachers, and 4) School Information Center. The ORT Foundation will support the other components in the project: purchasing all the equipment for the four new facilities; equipping four interactive classrooms; the teacher training component; and the student entrepreneurship component.
