This educational and social project is oriented towards young people and students from the region of Smolian – one of the beautiful mountainous Bulgarian towns with abundant biodiversity and magnificent natural resources. Its main goal is to motivate young people to learn more about Nature, its beauties and the numerous possibilities it offers for spending worthwhile time outdoors in an enjoyable and pleasant way, as well as to promote responsible behavior in the everyday life with a view to preserve the environment and the natural resources. The project envisages construction of a suburban eco-park for education, sports and recreation, including a cleaned-up and rehabilitated eco-trail from the city to the park and a forest nook with educational infrastructure, as well as organizing series of educational courses and workshops that will reach more than 250 students and kids from Smolian and the region.
