Do you know which is Bulgaria's oldest music festival? And when and where it takes place?

Here's the answer - the March Music Days, City of Rousse, where the first chords were sounded back in 1961…this year's festival is the 57th.

In 2015, America for Bulgaria Foundation initiated March Music Days Junior, educational classical music concerts for children, as part of the festival. In the first two years, the program drew 3,800 children to 25 educational concerts.

This year, March Music Days Junior (March 11-23) will include 14 concerts and events such as the Fortissimo Family project - The Queen of the Orchestra: Fairytales for Viola starring Svetlin Rusev, String Concerts on Cushions with 12 Ensemble, UK, When Classical Music Meets Jazz with Orbert Davis’ Chicago Jazz Philharmonic.

Over three festivals, the children's program has presented 39 projects and encouraged more than 5,000 children to love classical music.
