The project of the Regional Association of Small and Medium Entrepreneurs – Vratsa aims to stimulate an entrepreneurship mindset among Vratsa’s citizens and empower Vratsa residents who wish to start their own businesses there. Vratsa is the EU’s poorest region and has the highest unemployment rate in the country, which is why entrepreneurship is a good option for personal and professional development there. BASE Vratsa is a twelve-week interactive training program. Mentors in the program impart practical knowledge and demonstrate what it takes to turn an idea into a working business. At the end of the program, participants prepare business plans and take part in a competition. The top five business ideas are awarded a prize supporting their development.
