This grant will support the Beef and Lamb Board Foundation in developing and implementing a Beef and Lamb Quality Assurance Scheme (BLQAS), а tool that will allow for the differentiation and distinction of higher-value meat products, as well as food traceability, enabling the participants along the value chain (farmers, processors, traders) to get a premium price for the higher quality. The introduction of the scheme will enable the industry to successfully meet the growing market demand for quality products and provide a sustainable future for the emerging Bulgarian beef and lamb meat sectors.
