This program addresses a local need – linguistic isolation and low kindergarten attendance in Stolipinovo—by providing a summer kindergarten for 60 disadvantaged children. The NGO is working with specialists to measure the linguistic improvement of summer school participants. Teachers for the program will be selected from the local kindergarten according to predetermined criteria. The NGO will also work closely with parents and canvas the neighborhood to popularize the program and reiterate the importance of early education. The program will continue throughout the first semester in order to enroll participants in first grade and track their success at school.
