“Effective Approaches for Encouraging Early Education in High-Rrisk Communities”
“World without Borders” Association
BGN 65,846
World without Borders is implementing a 14 month program to popularize the idea of early education among mothers living in Stara Zagora’s largest Roma neighborhood (Lozenets.) The organization will provide preschool activities to 36 children and utilize a new method called “POL” to engage popular opinion leaders. This method leverages informal leaders within the community to popularize the importance of early education and to influence the attitude of the entire neighborhood. By providing preschool services, consultations with parents, and working methodically to influence opinion, they are seeking to create a broad impact within the community. The program will measure its success by tracking the number of participants that successfully enroll in the first grade, the number that successfully enroll in integrated schools, the level of improvement in linguistic and social standards, and the increase in the level of support and awareness within the community regarding preschool and kindergarten education.
We are performing technical maintenance on our website and the project database will not be accessible until 4 pm today.
