This is the third year of ABF support to the Elizabeth Kostova Foundation (EKF) in its efforts to popularize translation, American literature in Bulgaria and Bulgarian literature in the US. During these years, the various programs carried out by EKF have lead to impressive results: “Thrown into Nature” – a contemporary novel by Milen Ruskov, was published in the US and distributed in Amazon and large book store chains. Absinthe – a US literature magazine, dedicated one of its editions in 2012 to the Bulgarian contemporary literature. The quality of translations from English into Bulgarian have improved significantly and the publishers have become more aware for the need of a quality translation.
