70% of Bulgarians donate via SMS. However only a small number of organizations use DMS – the national platform thаt raises funds via SMS and online donations, operating since 2007.

There are several simple misconceptions about DMS and Krasimira Velichkova, the head of the Bulgarians Donors Forum, clears up the confusion:

1. DMS is difficult to join… No – registration is quick, documents are on the website, the application is straightforward and transparent.
2. DMS is about raising money for sick people… No – in DMS there are causes from different organizations on all sort of issues – from care for the elderly and adoption of pets to the conservation of entire ecosystems.
3. DMS allows only one-time donations… No – through the online system your organization can attract regular monthly donors.
