For the third year in a row, the America for Bulgaria Foundation will be giving out #ATTHEMUSEUM awards to institutions who have developed successful initiatives aimed at children and families and are good examples of public-private partnership.
The award is given in three categories: Best Children’s Project, Best Families’ Project, and Best Partnership. The award aims to encourage museums, galleries, and cultural institutions in Bulgaria to become welcoming places for children and their families.
Last year’s Best Children’s Project award went to the Friends of the Sea marine club in Varna for their Children’s Maritime School. The initiative facilitates the social integration of socially disadvantaged children through sea sports. The Art Gallery in Dobrich won in the Best Partnership category for its project “Word and Image,” which it runs in partnership with 4 kindergartens, 6 schools, and 4 summer schools in the city. The Best Families’ Project was the “Father’s Day at the Museum” program of the National Museum of Military History in Sofia.
The deadline for applications this year is April 30, 2018.
