Do you love writing and telling stories? What if you could do that and make a difference?
Are you curious about what it’s like to be a journalist—writing articles, producing videos, or reporting from the ground?
If you’re nodding “yes,” then the Media E:volution Journalism Fellowship might be just the thing for you.
Now in its third year, the fellowship—run by the America for Bulgaria Foundation—offers young storytellers the chance to explore journalism from the inside out. Over nine months (October 2025 to July 2026), fellows will:
- Intern with two different media outlets and get real newsroom experience;
- Meet regularly with journalists and other professionals to ask questions and swap ideas;
- Join a supportive community that values growth, creativity, and new friendships.
This is a hands-on program designed to help you discover where you shine—whether that’s investigative reporting, digital media, longform writing, or something else entirely.
It’s for curious minds who care about the truth, want to explore the big social and political questions of our time, and know how to tell a good story.
Who can apply?
Bachelor’s students in their third or fourth year, master’s students, and recent grads (with up to two years of work experience) from all kinds of backgrounds—journalism, communications, economics, business, finance, political science, European studies, law, and more. If you love to write and care about free speech and the role of media in society, we want to hear from you.
