We know this place because Lyuben won the Best Business Plan Award in the Business Alternatives Program this year. The Penkovs have been active in this industry for ten years. They learned all about herbs from Galina’s grandfather, brother and father, who taught them how to gather, cut and dry wild herbs growing in the region of Sliven, Southeast Bulgaria. Galina’s family has practiced herb growing and treatment with herbal remedies for over forty years.
Sliven Herb House has two shops – in Sliven and Burgas – which sell herbs and herbal mixes. Their partners distribute their products in most Bulgarian cities. They also have an online shop. The Penkovs dream of expanding their business and opening shops in other cities in the country. They also have clients in other European countries, where Sliven Herb House makes deliveries.The herbs and mixes are derived exclusively from wild plants growing in certain forest areas around Sliven. The verified origin and natural drying method guarantee the quality of the medicinal plants. This helps sustain the health benefits, flavor and appearance.
