The new playground, a gift from individual donors as part of an initiative of America for Bulgaria Foundation, was unveiled one month before the official opening of the fully-renovated children’s clinics in Pirogov. The investment is about BGN 55,000.
The ribbon was cut by Prof. Asen Baltov, CEO of Pirogov, Lynn Daft, Chair of the Board of Directors of America for Bulgaria Foundation and Nicole Simmons, wife of His Excellency Eric Rubin, US Ambassador to Bulgaria.
The silver pine tree planted by the Foundation in the playground will dazzle and gleam in the hospital yard with its Christmas decorations, a bright reminder of the “Little Heroes” initiative of ABF and its partners.
The official opening of the fully renovated children’s clinics of Pirogov will be on October 23.
