Parents know it’s good for kids to read books and discover the magical worlds in their pages. Finding new, age-appropriate works for children, however, can be a serious challenge.
The Children’s Books Foundation has a solution, which was one of the five winning projects in the annual competition for an NGO business idea of the Bulgarian Center for Not-for-Profit Law in 2018.
Children’s Books aims to develop a social cataloging website featuring reviews of children’s books to help parents get personalized recommendations according to their child’s interests, age, and preferred genres. The platform will also allow users to order the selected books quickly and easily. The focus of the online catalog will be on books for children aged 0–16.
The Best NGO Business Plan competition has been held for seven years with the support of the America for Bulgaria Foundation.
