The America for Bulgaria Foundation (ABF) and the Institute of International Education (IIE) in New York are happy to announce the end of a tough competition for selecting 30 outstanding Bulgarian students to participate in the 2013 Summer Entrepreneurship Program in the United States.
This is the fourth year that 30 Bulgarian students from different universities will have the opportunity to take part in an intensive entrepreneurship training, business education, and leadership development in the summer of 2013.
This training initiative is part of the Bulgarian Young Leaders Program (BYLP), which selects Bulgarian undergraduate and graduate students of exceptional caliber, as well as promising civil service professionals, and provides them with unique scholarship, business, and leadership training in the United States. This year, the BYLP incorporates three major components: Summer Entrepreneurship Program, Junior Justice Professionals Training Program, and Educational Leaders Training Program.
The Summer Entrepreneurship Program (SEP) provides short-term, non-degree experiential learning opportunity to Bulgarian students from all accredited universities in Bulgaria. During five weeks (July 5- August 9, 2013) of intensive entrepreneurship training, business education, and leadership development, participants will have the opportunity to study at leading U.S. business schools where they will interact and network with U.S. executives, entrepreneurs, and students. In addition, since SEP is designed as a mini-MBA program, participants will be developing life plans and business plans. These plans will serve as blueprints for how students will apply what they have learned upon their return to Bulgaria.
