This grant is to support issuing the biography of Christo – the Bulgarian-born world artist who is famous for his innovative and ambitious large-scale projects such as The Gates in Central Park, The Umbrellas in Japan, Wrapping the Reichstag in Berlin and the most recent - Over the River, to be constructed on the Arkansas River in Colorado. Author of the book is Evgenia Atanasova, a journalist at the Bulgarian National TV, who has done a number of reportages on Christo and his works. The book will note the 80-th anniversary of Christo this year and will contain facts about his life and art, as well as many photos from Christo’s personal archive.
