Bulgarian Agriculture Leadership Program & Bulgarian Scientific Program “Agriculture for the Future”
Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service
USD 300,000
The purpose of this grant is to launch two new exchange programs for agribusiness professionals designed by the America for Bulgaria Foundation to support people with potential to become leaders in agriculture and work for development of modern and competitive agribusiness in Bulgaria. With this grant sixteen agricultural specialists and two researchers will take part in custom-made training programs in the U.S.
The “Leaders in Agriculture” Program provides intensive short-term group trainings for Bulgarian producers, managers, technical specialists, researchers, faculties or administrators, with narrow professional focus and duration of about two weeks.
The “Agriculture for the Future” Program is geared towards progressive young researchers who can spend up to 3 months in the U.S. working one-on-one with an individual mentor and coordinator on a research topic proposed by the applicant.
Participants in both programs are selected after an open competition and personal interviews with each candidate conducted by a panel of local and international experts with expertise in the field of agriculture and agribusiness.
We are performing technical maintenance on our website and the project database will not be accessible until 4 pm today.
