Participation in the Harvard-MIT Mathematics Tournament (HMMT) - 2016
School Council at the High School of Mathematics in Varna

BGN 67,850

Three Bulgarian high school math teams have been invited to participate in the prestigious Harvard-MIT Mathematics Tournament (HMMT), following their excellent performance at the competition last year. These are the teams of the Mathematics High School - Varna, Mathematics and Science High School – Burgas, and Sofia Math High School. ABF’s support makes it possible for the three teams and their team-leaders from travel and compete in the HMMT.

HMMT is a highly competitive annual mathematics competition for high schools students jointly run by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard University. Only a very limited number of international school teams are invited to take part, which makes the invitation to the three Bulgarian teams particularly notable. The tournament involves 800 students with excellent track records from international math Olympiads and competitions.
