The first edition of the International Jazz Festival Varna Summer was held back in 1992. Ever since, in the last days of July, the courtyard of the Varna Archeologic Museum transforms into a lively stage for many foreign and Bulgarian jazzmen. In 2016 the International Jazz Festival Varna Summer celebrates its 25 anniversary. The 4-day program (July 28-31) will present 8 gigs including Bridges Trio (Poland), Shuffle Demons (Canada), Matthias Schriefl (Germany), Kenny Garrett (USA), Rossen Zahariev-Roko (Bulgaria) and others. In order to mark the anniversary in a more festive way a special program will be designed – Big Bands from 11 countries.
