Developing and Retaining Human Capital
Building Capital–Partnering with a Local Business to Zone and Legalize a Roma Neighborhood (Oreshaka)
Trust for Social Achievement Foundation
BGN 1,187,257
This grant will support a test program of the Trust for Social Achievement for legalization of long-standing communities and home ownership in three pilot settlements in Bulgaria: Kyustendil, Peshtera, and Dupnitsa. The Program promotes land regulation, access to land, basic services, and infrastructure, and urban legislation.
In addition, TSA’s work to zone and legalize Roma neighborhoods includes community-based action groups, introduction of green and public spaces into urban planning and access to basic services such as safe drinking water, sewage systems, and waste removal. These are important first steps toward the creation of socially inclusive, resilient, and economically prosperous towns and cities.
We are performing technical maintenance on our website and the project database will not be accessible until 4 pm today.
