The Night of Museums and Galleries in Plovdiv was established in 2005. This two-night festival quickly gained popularity and from 3,000 visitors in the first year, more than 40,000 visited the event in 2016. This year Open Arts Foundation celebrates its 10-jubilee edition with a special exhibition at an ex-toy store on the main street that was closed in the last 15 years and will be reopened for the Night on September 15. This year there will be more than 100 events taking place at 75 locations around town such as the Regional History Museum, the Aviation Museum, the Regional Ethnographic Museum, the City Gallery, etc. During the Night, many Bulgarian and international artists such as ATOM theater, Vox Populi studio for art documentaries, and the American artist Mike Buche will present their productions.
