Jazz in Burgas (The history of jazz music) 2014

In July 11-13, 2014, Burgas will become an art stage for jazz music and history. This three-day jazz forum will include exhibits and art installations introducing interesting facts about jazz. At six o’clock every evening, musicians from the Burgas Brass Orchestra will perform in the alleys of the sea garden. Among the other participants will be Euphonia Instrumentalis, Stoyan Yankulov, Ventsislav Blagoev Band, The National Radio Big Band and others.The exhibits will be of Miroslav Monovski (an art installation presenting the most influential world jazz musicians), Jazzopis Photo exhibit and the Jazz Icons exhibit on St. Anastasia island. There will be a parade of retro-cars, dance performances at the Ohliuva open stage and jazz-related film selection at St. Anastasia island. During the festival, the Sea Casino will host lectures with Simeon Shterev –Banana and Kiril Donchev. A separate jazz program for children will trigger their interest in jazz.
