Space Challenges is a multidisciplinary educational program aimed at developing a generation of young entrepreneurial scientists and technology professionals. The program constitutes an intensive practical boot camp with a mix of lectures, workshops, and practical assignments led by experts from leading scientific and academic institutions such as NASA, the European Space Agency, MIT, Harvard, and many others. Lectures cover a wide range of topics, including physics, material science, robotics, aerospace engineering, technology architecture, and nanotechnology. All lectures are video-taped and made available on the Space Challenges online platform. The program can be followed online thanks to its highly interactive platform: http://www.spaceedu.net. The ABF grant will be used to develop a mobile application – “Spaceport”, which will leverage the power of mobile technologies to further boost the educational platform’s reach.
