This grant is to support Vola Open Air Festival, to be held on July 26-28 at Okolchitsa Peak, near Vratsa. The festival offers a platform to emerging Bulgarian and international artists performing non-commercial and alternative music and promotes cultural tourism opportunities in the region. The six editions of the festival since 2010 have attracted a total of 7,000 visitors and presented 300 artists. This year’s performers include 20 R&B, disco, boogie, house, and hip-hop artists from Bulgaria as well as 10 funk, break, jazz, and drum & bass bands from Serbia, France, the UK, and the United States.
