2009 Roma Camp Forward Together

This grant supported the “Together Ahead, Roma Youth Leadership Camp”. These camps began in 2000 and throughout the years have been jointly implemented in partnership with Napreduk, MYOFT, Ethnotolerance, CEGA, and Integro. Roma high school students throughout the country must apply and compete to attend. Through the use of motivational activities, community role models and speakers, and an extensive, web-based alumni network, these camps have encouraged Roma youth throughout Bulgaria to continue their education, become role models for other Roma youth and give back to their community.
