Tourism After the Pandemic: Developing Tools for Sustainable Tourism in Northwest Bulgaria

This grant will support the development of a mobile app, audio tours, and other travel guides for Northwestern Bulgaria, specifically for the regions of Vidin, Vratsa, and Montana. These tools will take visitors through sites of interest and local communities, acquainting them with locals’ lives and livelihoods. Visitors will learn what it is like to work at a brick kiln, to be a shepherd, to dye carpets, and to return to Bulgaria to become an entrepreneur.
