The National English Spelling Bee will be held for another two years with support from the America for Bulgaria Foundation. The program addresses two critical needs in Bulgaria’s education system: to provide equal access to quality English-language instruction and to make the study of English more attractive and exciting. Each year the competition takes place in three rounds: school, regional, and national. The program will also support the National Spelling Bee Junior Competitions for children in grades 1-4th in Bulgarian schools. The program will also include regional teacher-training seminars, which are important for the professional and innovative development of the Bulgarian teachers.
