This grant will help expand Danube Velo Weekends, one of the approved projects in the Tourism along the Danube RFP. The company behind the tours, Plato Ltd., successfully pivoted its focus to domestic tourism during the pandemic, managing to acquaint Bulgarian bikers with natural parks and UNESCO sites along the Danube as well as less popular destinations around Dobrich, Ruse, Silistra, and Tutrakan. Five multi-day biking routes were developed with accommodation at local guesthouses, visits to small farms, and meals in local restaurants.
