The project will focus on civic monitoring on the courts in 20 towns across Northern Bulgaria. Applying an established methodology, a group of 40 trained observers will select, review and monitor 600 court cases and will report in writing on both shortcomings and positive developments. The reports will be discussed with the management of the court and the Supreme Judicial Council to serve as a basis for recommendations for improvement of court efficiency in response to business and citizens' needs for speedy case resolution.
