The Win Over the Cancer Foundation’s mission is to reduce cancer mortality in the country. Breast cancer (BC) is one of the most common oncological diseases that lead to death in women. It is curable if detected early. The screening campaign For You, Close To You is taking place for the third consecutive time in April and May 2023. The funds gathered during the Race for the Cure 2022 (another initiative of Win over the Cancer Foundation, supported by ABF) will allow approximately 571 women to benefit from the sonographic mammography. The ABF’s matching grant of BGN 20,000 allows 572 more patients to be screened. Women have the chance for earlier detection of the disease and for a timely treatment.
