This grant provides funding to Histories from Belene 2.0 - a civic education project led by the Sofia Platform Foundation that aims to present a historically accurate account of Bulgaria’s totalitarian communist regime—particularly the history of the Belene labor camp—and to preserve the memory of its victims, while strengthening democratic culture through high-quality civic and history education.
