18th Season of the Varna Summer Theatre Festival

Each June, local and foreign tourists as well as the Bulgarian theatre elite are attracted to Varna – the Bulgarian Black Sea capital, to watch a selection of the year’s best plays. There are street performances, workshops, exchange program, music and dance shows, visual arts exhibitions accompanying the festival. Directors, theatre experts and festival selectors are invited to the theatre showcase – a module within the festival which shows mobile and communicative Bulgarian plays which can easily travel and be shown at festivals all over the world.
