Under this program ten English Teaching Assistants from the United States will teach English language in Bulgaria during the 2010/2011 school year. They will be hosted by ten language schools throughout Bulgaria: Blagoevgrad, Dobrich, Haskovo, Kardzhali, Pleven, Plovdiv, Shumen, Sliven, Smolian, and Stara Zagora. The program contributes to the improvement of the quality of language education, exposes Bulgarian teachers and students to new teaching methods, and helps to enhance the overall educational environment in these schools. This people-to-people contact also contributes to the strengthening of the US-Bulgarian relations.
