Pre-university Applicant Students’ Preparation for Young Roma with High Grades

The “Student Society for Development of Interethnic Dialogue” Foundation has been working since 2001 to support promising pre-university applicants of Roma origin. This program will support an open competition for high school students throughout Bulgaria. 30 will be chosen to participate based on their high marks and recommendations from teachers in their schools. Selected participants will receive three month private tutorials at their home location to help them prepare for their university exams. The NGO will also provide career counseling and help students choose which university might be best for them. Success will be measured according to the number of participants that are successfully accepted into a university as well as the number that are accepted into their top university choice and preferred field of study.
