This program provides support to a predominantly Roma kindergarten in Blagoevgrad. Early education is a critical first step toward later success in school, but a number of barriers—including low parental motivation, linguistic challenges, and a lack of material resources—were limiting the successful integration and continuation of these children in the first grade. The NGO and kindergarten are partnering to improve the learning tools and resources available to these children, and to better engage parents in the school and in their child’s education.
