The new Science Center at the Language School in Dimitrovgrad addresses a major issue at Bulgarian schools, i.e. lack of appropriate environment for gaining practical knowledge. The Center will give the opportunity to the students to make experiments, analyze the results, develop research and analytical skills, and above all – learn by doing. The project will include a major renovation of five classrooms that will accommodate a science laboratory with two storage premises, the cabinets in physics, chemistry and biology. The new cabinets and the laboratory will be furnished and equipped with computers, multimedia, white boards, kits for experiments and practical work, and demonstration materials necessary for the contemporary education of the students. In addition, a competition among students at all secondary schools in the town of Dimitrovgrad will be organized for developing projects or experimental settings related to the school curriculum. The Science Center will be open for access and use by the other schools in the town.
