Pierrot Puppet Theatre Biennial Festival 2011

Pierrot is a biennial adult puppet theatre competition festival established in 2000 in Stara Zagora. It is a unique event, since there is no other competition festival in the world related to adult puppetry. The festival’s 7-th edition will take place from September 24 to September 29, 2011. To date, 11 foreign and 8 Bulgarian plays have been selected to compete for the Pierrot award in 2011. The festival is important for developing cultural tourism in Stara Zagora. About 250 participants from all over the world take place in the event and about 5,000 viewers attend the performances.
