Association “For a New World” is partnering with a branch of the “Bulgarche” kindergarten in Kulata to improve the attendance and enrollment of children, the majority of which are Roma, and to build stronger ties between the kindergarten and their families. In order to reinforce the importance of early education with parents and families, the project includes home visitations by field workers as well as interactive activities with parents at the kindergarten—including a community project, different competitions, a bake-sale/fund-raiser, etc. The project also includes a variety of clubs and activities, meant to enhance the learning environment and to better engage the children. The aim is to increase attendance and to thereby improve learning opportunities for children, so that they might be better prepared for the first grade.
