The third edition of the Bulgarian Young Leaders Program (BYLP) will provide Bulgarian students of exceptional caliber and promising magistrate professionals with unique scholarship and leadership training in the United States in 2012 and 2013. It continues with the three major components: (1) Summer Entrepreneurship Program; (2) U.S. Academic Immersion Program; and (3) Junior Justice Professionals Training, through which fifty (50) Bulgarian students from different universities and 20 magistrates will participate in U.S.-based programs to experience the best educational and institutional practices. A new fourth (4) component, Education Leaders’ Training, will send 10 secondary school teachers from ABF partner schools in Bulgaria to the U.S. for a dynamic training program to learn and collaborate with their U.S. counterparts on key themes such as: fostering and implementing innovative pedagogical methods in the classroom; using technology to transform the classroom experience; tracking student progress and measuring success; and instructional models in the education of gifted students.
