After the success of American Ballet for Bulgaria in 2011, the Cultural Bridges Association approached ABF for a grant to come up with a second edition of the event in 2012. The 2012 program of the American Ballet for Bulgaria will include three pieces: La Source of George Balanchine, staged by a representative of the George Balanchine trust, Sheherazade of Kathryn Posin which combines classical ballet technique and modern esthetics of story-telling; and Skryabin Etudes of Momchil Mladenov performed by a mixed cast of Bulgarian dancers working and living in the USA and Western Europe.
