This demonstration project envisages initiation and development of a network of educational gardens to be set up at the yards of 10 state owned kindergartens located in urbanized districts of Sofia. A contest among all kindergartens in the city will be organized and 10 of those will be selected as winners. The team of the applicant will then assist the 10 selected winners in setting up their own gardens of learning by providing the materials they need and ad hoc guidance and support. The project also foresees the elaboration of a handbook with Educational Methodology and Lessons that will be distributed for free to all state owned kindergartens in Sofia encouraging them to introduce this alternative educational practice and raise the quality of the learning process and social skills formed in the children.
